How to Write your Own Will

This article is a general overview to help individuals desiring to write a living will and more research is necessary in order to cover all of the living will & living trust legalities often involved in such planning.
At the top of the will the individual the will regards will need to be identified.
Be sure to be as specific as you can in order that no one can deny that it is you.
Full name, social security number, address, birth date are all ideal to have on the will.
When you begin your first paragraph of your will be sure to state that this will is indeed your last will and testament and that you are revoking any other wills that may have been written or formed prior to this one.
It is important that you state that you are mentally able to write a will for yourself and that no one has forced you to write this will.
Next you will need to state who your beneficiaries would be it your spouse, children, family members or more.
If the children are minors, be sure to state who would be provided as their guardian and be sure to ask them for their permission.
After that be sure to mention who will be taking care of distributing what is in the will. This person is called the Executor. The Executor of a will has to be over 18 and must fit all requirements established in your state for Executors. In addition provide any payments you decide to make to the Executor for their part in distributing what is in the will.
List every beneficiary and what they will receive and make sure that everything totals up to 100 percent of your assets.
Also in the case there should be an extra amount, be sure to add who would receive any extra percentages of assets if it, say, totals up to 99% and 1% is left.
Be sure when you sign your will and testament that you have official witnesses or notaries involved if this is a requirement in your state.
Once your will and testament is completed, provide one copy for the Executor and keep one for yourself in a safe place.
